Italian Sausage And Peppers Recipe With Penne Pasta


Pre-heat a large skillet to medium-high heat. Add oil, garlic, onion, and chili to heat. Cook until onion becomes translucent. Add sausage and peppers and cook for 3-5 minutes until meat has browned. Add tomatoes and remaining dried herbs. Stir through, then reduce heat to low temperature and simmer for a further 10 minutes. Cook penne in large saucepan to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain; return to saucepan. Add basil; toss to coat. Cover to keep warm. 2. Meanwhile, heat large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Pour off any fat. Step 2. Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining oil. Stir the peppers and onions in the skillet and cook for 5 minutes.

Cook the Vegetables. Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add pepper and onion mix and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until starting to brown and soften, 3-4 minutes. 3.
